Deception of the Greek
For several years now the Greek government has been forced to make severe compromises to ensure the longterm survival of the Greek culture. We have long recognized a de facto subservience to the Finnish Empire, and recently were called upon to enter into a sort of partnership with them in order that we might align with the victors of the military conflict that is savaging our continent.
We hereby pledge our full alliance with the Finnish Empire that our two nations might execute this war as swiftly and humanely as possible. As part of our terms to agree to fight with Finland they have agreed that no cities shall be razed throghout this conflict and I hope this small concession will come as some comfort to those now aligned against us. Your people will live on.
Greece regrets the previous need of suberfuge, but the survival of our own people reigns paramount in our decisions. This policy has faced stiff opposition in the Greek governing bodies and also is unpopular with our citizens. We hope, however, that time will show we acted pragmatically.
