I just finished playing this game and I got to say it was awesome (lol @ morte).

You play as a nameless immortal guy who is accompanied by a sarcastic floating skull.

If you havn't played it you should.

I'm glad people still enjoy this 10 years after its release.

Probably one of the best RPG ever, IMO.

Glad you enjoyed it.

While I did enjoy Torment a lot, this needs to be qualified : it's one of the games with the best story ever.

The "gameplay" itself is nothing amazing.

True, but, as Ozbenno says:

I enjoyed this game while playing it more than any other I think. Such a great story, sad, funny, sheena easton, it had everything.

Regardless of any gameplay flaws, there has never been another game which provided as much enjoyment to me. The story is that good.

It's basically a fully interactive adventure-puzzle game, with only a couple of compulsory fights, and I love it :) Even my all-time favourite game, Morrowind, is prepared to concede a draw with Planescape: Torment :D

I just got this after christmas, it's awesome. Morte is cool! He's my favourite character. I'm like half way through, haven't touched it for a few months though.

I actually designed a Skull race (disembodied, wise-cracking and super-mobile floating heads, just like Morte) for AD&D 2nd Edition, D&D 3.5 and GURPS 4E. I even created a D&D 3.5 bloodline with similar powers to Nameless' signature abilities. I'm not obsessed, really :D

Sorry to necro an old thread, but I have been playing Planescape and I get a crash whenever I go near the area behind Yvana. I followed the installation suggestions from here except for the last two points (5a and b). Can anyone help me here?

Edit: It appears to be a problem with the widescreen mod. Without it, everything appears fine.

Great story, mediocre gameplay. I think it may have worked better as a point and click adventure game. I don't think the DnD mechanics added anything useful.

For actual DnD gameplay BG2 is better in every way.
