Plans for Good/Evil balance?

While I applaud FfHs efforts to provide a wide variety of playing options, as much in alignment as in lots of other things, I think there's too little encouragement for players to do so.

For example, as I posted in the feature wishlist thread, I think it'd be really cool to have a mechanic to "encourage" being peaceful (one common side-effect of being a good guy). As it stands, a lot of the fun that can be had in FfH is tied to warmongering.
There's a lot of interesting stuff you can do with leveling up your units and shape them with upgrades, kinda like a miniature RPG.
If you're playing peacefully, there are no (or very few) wars, and you miss out on this entire experience.
There really should be something to compensate - something with "micromanagement", i.e. a RPG like upgrading structure.
My first idea was "levelling up cities", but there are surely many different options. SOMETHING should be there, though.

That said, I think the evil mechanics don't work quite that well, either. Armageddon occurs too rarely without the player actively driving the AC upwards. But from what I understand, there's some work on stuff like AI scheduled at some point in the not-too-distant-future, so evil AIs playing more efficiently might solve this.

A good warmonger doesn't build many buildings. A peacemonger can build every building in every city. Play the Kuriotates - they're a lot of fun as builders. And then they get a Dragon!

Make a mod mod! There was a request at one point to allow a peace victory if all civs are of the good alignment. At this point, it would have to be a mod mod and would have to be played with by the community.

OT, but I think that anyone who plays multiplayer (i.e. not me) should ask for a mod mod that makes +all+ wonders national, leveling the playing field somewhat.

Actually... as one who plays MP games... I kind of like wonders being the way they are--the only really "game-breaking" wonder right now would be the Go9.
The rest are just gives some strategic advantages--and I enjoy the rushing of certain strategic wonders (like the Librarius) when playing against a Sheaim rival to deny him too many Mobius Witches.

I like dark stories, I like making the player feel sympathy for the characters, I like stories that evoke emotion. But this was to dark, even for FfH. I dont know how you compare it to the dark stories like Mardero's and Talia's, but its more personal and we decided that it was a bad idea for a scenario.

Yeah, sometimes dark and cross the line and become personal. I can understand and I feel really sorry for Tya. That the spirit that guided her seems to have been her unborn child makes it even better/worse. If someone had had this experience in real life, it must be terryfing to relive those memories.

Some other really dark parts of the FfH lore is when Einon has to kill his wife to save her from the Agony of the spell she is under. When Thessa is, practically, but not necessarily forced to sacrifice her newly married husband to save her nation from the taint. When the witch, who becomes Mardero's mother, jumps of the cliff instead of being burned on the stakes when chased by the village mob. I think that the fact that her fellow villagers actually drove her to this is worse than the rape by the demon that followed.

Its been awhile since I've found stories that grab my interest, especially game related stories. Like Grey Fox said theres other really dark parts, one in particular sorta made me feel bad and regret my actions.

Spoiler :
In the Radiant Guard scenario, after siding with Hyborem and winning, Mikel's wife and daughter are brutally tortured before him
