Played over 40 hours and still have BASIC questions

To get early GPP, you eighter need The Oracle or The Stonehenge, wich delay growth even further

No, you just need Priesthood so you can build a Temple. There's no need to build an elaborate Wonder just to pop a Great Prophet. Or if you're Arab you can build a Madrassa, or an Obelisk if you're Egyptian.

I guess I may as well keep all my questions in this thread.

Is Pyramids really good? I built it and changed it to the one which gives +3 Hapieness in my largiest cities. I think thats the best for eearly game?

I then also build Stone Henge and the one which gives +2 hapiness in all cities on the continent. Can remember the name. I figured these are good to make sure that I never have a problem with growth.

Another question, am I limited to the amount of world wonders I can build? Or is it just 2 pe city? Is a religious SP building a world wonder that counts to the cities two limit?

What is the benefit of a great lighthouse wonder. How do +2 trade routes help? I don't quite understand a trade route?

Thanks

Pyramids is good...yes representation is a really great civic when you are first starting out. Pyramids requires a lot of hammers to build, so I usually build it (a) if I have stone; (b) if I'm playing an industrious leader who can build it fast; (c) if I'm playing a spiritual leader even if I can't build it fast because it works best with a spiritual leader who can change civics often.

No limit on world wonders; national wonders are two to a city.

Great lighthouse trade routes add income! Very nice and easy to build but the AI often prioritizes building it...

What so I can have 8 world wonders in a city/ Isnt this what everyone does? Will this kill me on maintenance/ How do trade routes help sorry?

The Pyramids are probably the best wonder in the game IMO. It can be built early, it never goes obsolete, and it gives you a huge benefit throughout the game. You're actually missing the main strength of Representation BTW. For every specialist you have in your cities, regardless of whether they're scientists or not, you get an extra three beakers towards your research. The extra happiness in your large cities is lame in comparison.

Yes you can, no they don't. It takes alot of production to build 8 wonders in a city and the rest of your infrastucture is going to suffer if you try it. You're better off spreading out your wonder production a bit. If you're trying for a cultural victory you might want to get a bit excessive, but other than that you want to make sure you manage to add other buildings as well, not just wonders. And there's no maintenance for buildings in Civ 4, just the cities themselves.

Are thee good tactics?
I built everyone of my wonders in my Capital. It had about 20 overall. I was on noble and I was able to product them in about 3-5 turns for any. Had a huge explosion on research and building.

I was producing at my peak around 250+SP points per turn. I used up all my SP in that city also to help my development of my beakers.
Are these good tactics? Or should I spread my wonders?

I find that very hard to believe. Even regular buildings need more than 3-5 turns to complete, and Wonders require quite a bit of production.

Or should I spread my wonders?

It depends on what kind of victory you're going for. If it's Cultural, the more wonders you can build in three of your cities, the better your chances. But if you're going for Spacerace or one of the military options, 20 Wonders in your capital is excessive. Just building 20 Wonders period is excessive. By building nothing but Wonders, you're not building Libraries, Banks etc. and you're not building military units.

I wouldn't lie. :) I am sure I have the save game for this. I was doing any normal building in 1-2 turn and a wonder in 3-5.

At end game a thruster was 3 turns for the space race. I won by space race by the way.

Yes, it goes obsolete. If your a warmongerer, it is obsolete at last when you research Facism.
