How many players play Civ 5 online, does anyone know by any chance?

According to Steam, as of right now:

23,536 37,372 Sid Meier's Civilization V

23.536 players. with a peak of 37.372 today

Probably that only approx. 10% of all them really play mp games. Others are just connected to play sp. That makes approx. 3000 players playing mp which is quite good i think.
