Playing another w/o expansions

This may have already been answered but I couldn't find it. I have all the expansions for CIV 4 and want to play a friend who only has the Vanilla is this possible? With also still using the expansion CIVs?

Nope thats not possible. You must play the same game version as your friend.

Yes you can still play vanilla. Just put in the cd and do the launcher from the disk.
