If memory serves, during the pre-release time of Civ 4, play testers (Sulli I believe in particular) were allowed to post excellent screen shots and describe actions throughout a playtest game. Those screen shots and stories were the primary reason for me to get Civ 4, because I could see all of the cool potential in the game to warrant upgrading from Civ 3 to Civ 4. I could see how Civ 4 played start to finish, and it looked like so much fun!

Is Firaxis (or whoever the powers that be are for making such a decision) going to allow the same for Civ 5? I really hope so...I would love to see the same thing for Civ 5 now that we are at about 3 months from release!

I wasn't around here back then, but Id love to see this also. I'm sure it would help people who are on the fence about buying it for whatever reason.

From a business perspective, I'd say *yes*, most likely. A good walk-through of the early stages of the game-with screenshots-at sites like this can do a lot to get the fans of Civ who're still sitting on the fence.

Aussie.

i imagine if you gone on to youtube late on september 21st or the 22nd, youll find some enterpising person has uploaded there first game.

Gaming journalists will probably get a final build a few weeks before the 21st. I'd imagine that by the end of August or the beginning of September we'll starting seeing a lot more "hand's on" previews.

Sulla's walkthroughs were legendary!! :king:
He was a great story teller and made some fantastic reports. You can read some of them in his site. Here

I don't know if he's still around and working with Firaxis but I would love to see his reports again!
