Please Help! All units invisible!?!

Hello all,

I'm having a problem with the game I have done several searches with no luck. While I was playing civ4 bts all the units on the map disappeared. Not just mine every unit on the whole map! I've rebooted the game and the computer. Tried loading older saved files and starting new random games and still no units are visible. Everything else seems to be okay (lol except for the random freezing that I get), I mean I can control the units just can't see any of them.

This is a brand new system I've attached my dxdiag file. Also having random crashes and sometimes when I first start the game I get a message saying my computer does not meet minimum the requirements for the game and it resets my options to defualt. This is too funny.
Running EVGA Classified x3 sli w 250gts and 9800 gt for phyx. I7 920 6 gigs ram using win 7 64 bit. Any help would be greatly appreciatted.

Lol finally found a thread that helped http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=294722
must of hit the bare map option. Could still use some help with the other 2 issues (random crashes and default settings on startup).

Welcome to CFC!

The min spec warning as the game starts is because the game does not recognise all the new processors rather than your lovely i7 being under spec. You can shut it off by changing the .ini file to:
; Don't show minimum specification warnings
HideMinSpecWarning = 1

For the crashes we'll need some more info. For a start:
What version of Civ is this?
What is it patched to?
What error messages do you get?

Don't worry, you're not the first to be caught out by the bare map option, I think most of us discover it the first time by accident!

Hello Furley,

Thanks for the quick response. Sry forgot to include this info: Civ4 BTS Ver 3.19. With regards to the error have not found one. The game freezes and I can not get back to windows so I reboot and see no error messages for the time when the game freezes.
