hello. please can any of you clever, kind strangers help me and my friends?
we have been trying for years to make a model of the globe with a hex grid.
the centre of one hex (or probably one of the 12 pentagons) is pretty close to 2.800323, 45.516244 - in somalia
the centre of another of the zones is over bodmin, cornwall, uk.
I know there would be somewhere between 1020-1080 hexagons around the equator. but they don't necessarily run around the equator.
so we need to a) make the grid the right size and b) centre it on somalia and tweak it/rotate it till one zone is over bodmin. hopefully this will coincide with giza in eqypt , Maracaibo River/Lake in Venezuela, a few other places too.
we would be so grateful if someOne can set this up for us. would lead us to better things..
would be happy to reward someone modestly for their help.
