or a quicker note. if it will work in 98 right click on the icon, go to compatibility and set it so its compatible with 98. That way the game thinks its running in 98 NOT XP. Ive had to do this before. Worked for me.

That is possibly a good idea but a different idea.
Asking WinXP to simulate Win98 is going to take more (not less) resources

How do I underclock. I tried to do it by acessing BIOS features when the computer boots by pressing the delete key continuosly, but I didn't see any options for FSB.

Well it might be called something different (e.g. core frequency or something), but it should be there, just look for "100 Mhz" somewhere and then change it to 80 Mhz or something much lower. Like I said I don't know if it will help; it helped me but my problem was different. You seem to have tried everything else though so its worth a shot.

Thanks, I tried everything, however I never realized that I did a quick reformat. I'm going to try a full reformat (deleting partitions.) Thanks, I'll let you know if I stil have the problems.
