Please, help me with this, should be easy

When I start playing, half of the menus with info about creatures, world map, resources, etc... has dissapeared... and I can't give commands to my units or check their descriptions!!!

Civ 4 and other mods work properly!!!!!

I guess this can be fixed by simply pressing some hotkey, but I'm unable to find it, and cant play the game... does anyone know how I can get back my world back and menus?

Hmh. Did you install the full mod (at several hundred megabytes) or just the (much smaller) patch?

I believe similar issues have been caused by running with only the patch installed.

I'll try re-installing but it should work properly... any other idea? I've tried everything and cannot find hot-keys or anything to activate the map and descriptions.

how the heck did you get all of that to appear all at once?

Also, did you get the latest patch for BTS? I had to get it manually from the download database though, so you may have to do that.

Check your registry.
Could it happen that you changed BTS path someway (renamed/moved folder) or restored your system or something else?..
Check the registry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Firaxis Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 4 - Beyond the sword/ and make sure the INSTALLDIR key is appropriate.
