I am just now coming back to Civ 6 after almost a year away and I am overwhelmed with all the changes. In world builder you used to be able to plot exactly where you wanted all the civilizations to be and now you no longer can unless you turn on 'Advanced Mode.' But I notice when I toggle back and forth between basic and advanced mode that civilization placements don't show anymore and my map doesn't show up under 'maps' when I try to start a game. What's the point of making a map for yourself if you don't get to choose or modify your starting location?
Anyway, is there any way around this? Can I still make a map that involves choosing and modifying my start location and having it show up under 'maps' when generating a game? If so, what do I do?
A side question. I noticed games now start with barbarian cities spawned all across the map. What are these and are they supposed to be there or is there a corruption in my game?
