Egyptians are my civ of choice, industrious and religious being my favorite attributes.

Nothing beats being able to change governments on the fly, and i'm big on culture.

Industrious is nice to get those early roads up to get that settler to the flood plain with wheat or a prime grassland spot ASAP.

Shame the war chariots aren't anything special. The only thing they have going for them is their low cost, which allows you to crank them out in 1 turn (instead of 2 for a horseman) in the higher production towns. Handy if you're fighting an early war.

My absolute favorite is the Persians. Nothing like doing a rush of Immortals right at the Iron Age. I usually send them out in packs of 8. Reminds me of a band of Fremen ready to take out the evil Harkkonens. Now if they only had Worms to ride!

I'll go with Iroquios.

a) I'm part Iroquois.
b) Those mounted warriors show up just when I'm usually making my first ancient war.

Works for me.

You only used packs of 8 Fremen? I always used at least 12, so I could knock out the harvesters in one shot and disappear.

yeah..I voted Babs..but lately those Mounted Warriors are making me reconsider. They rule ancient warfare. It kinda becomes hard to stop rolling over all you neighbors with them. It is too dang easy. Plus they look real sharp.
