In vino veritas = In wine, the truth. In other words, wine loosens the tongue.
Right?

I like to use the default names of the civ I am playing. When all the names are used, I try to think of names from that civ that haven't yet been used. An example: As America, I would name a city 'Hartford', since this is not on the city list. Is is really hard to do this with some civs, like the Babylonians and Aztecs, for example, but it is an added challenge.

It translates literally as, "In wine, truth".

So both translations above are right, depending on how you choose to interpret it.

There is logic to the listing of citites in civ 2, it's just really, really, REALLY STUPID! The cities are listed in the order by which they were founded, and then (if two cities were built by different civs in the same turn) by the turn placement of each civ. I seriously hope they change this into alphabetical order or population order in civ 3.

Why the best city name is PinkyGen, currently the star city of the MGE succession game.

I use creative names, like if I have 2 cities controlling the pet city, I call it Poisoner and Sabotageur. If I'm playing on the world map I name the cities according to their position on the map. And if I'm in the mood, say a city is between two hills, I call it "Boobs".
