That's pretty much like me. Civ I saw me play games lasting days, and then starting a new one as soon as I finished the last. Civ II came to me about the right time, when Civ I found its way to the back of the shelf. Civ III was still fun, but it didn't capture me as a hardcore fan. Lack of time is an issue with me as well, but I also blame the game itself - it was more pretty than Civ II, but otherwise it didn't feel as addictive. I'm hoping that Civ IV will recapture my hardcore playing from the long awaited changes (such as the change in the role of pollution, incredibly flexible moding options, etc).
