This applies to the edition which you can buy digitally at Newegg, but it is unclear right now if this is possible outside the USA.

How does this work? Let's say you uninstall the game and then a month later you want to re-install it. Do you download it again from Newegg? So now that software is tied to Newegg?

I guess you are probably just buying a Steam or Epic code via Newegg, and that's it. I did not try it though. I wouldn't see another option really.

I was going to recommend the same site MasterPaw. Any pc gamer should check that site. It tracks lots of shops that sell only valid game keys (keys directly sold by the developers or publishers to that site). Civ 7 has been 12-14% off for months and still is.

One possible problem, and the reason I bought directly off Steam this time, is the early access period. These sites usually don't have permission to give the keys out early before the games official launch. So pre-ordering there the key code might not have been sent until the 11th.
