I was resigned to the idea that Bolivar's shadow is so large that there wouldn't be a space for another latin american leader to make it in before him, having Mexico instead of Colombia on release gave me some hope but it's clear that we'll have to wait for, who knows how many expansions to see more leader variety in latin america.
But,
looking at the bright side, at least all of the Bolivar flavour can be restricted to the leader, I really didn't like civs in civ VI that were all about the leader, like Macedon, Colombia and Sumer. Maybe he could get a special casus belli to force civs to release cities as IP that have an influence boost for Bolivar.
It would be the absolute nightmare of peaceful diplo civs that grow by annexing IP...and there comes Bolivar and his army to snatch it all.
Which means we might get future Colombia and Sumer civilizations with features related to their wider history, not only elements from the restricted time period or legends of Gilgamesh and Bolívar.
I was expecting Lord Byron as the leader of Britain (he could also lead Modern Greece) and then I thought "what if a female leader?" and then I thought about his daughter but only for a moment: "No, no way, the people in Firaxis are not that crazy". Well, I was wrong.

very disappointed with the leader choice for GB. Firaxis really needs to reevaluate their process for some of their decision making for the leaders because she is just not appropriate as leader choice. i can name 20 leaders that would have been a better choice. we have missed chances to add good leaders because we made this inclusion. on the other hand, i am happy GB is getting in the game asap.
Ada Lovelace is probably an excellent choice, IF she fits the attributes "Modern" Great Britain will be be given (science, production, maybe culture?) But if they go, say, militaristic and expansionist, then she might not be such a good choice.
But the whole "she will not be a good choice if she's not a good leader for great Britain" thing is just at odds with the entire point of this game's iteration of the leader system.
