I was lucky enough to live (and play in a couple of bands) in Minneapolis during it's punk rock glory days. Most of the people who made it that are now in their 30s or 40s and are just trying to live well enough to earn a retirement and a relatively comfortable life. The closest thing I see to that scene now amongst the young'ens is some of the underground hip hop, the many subvarieties of electronic music and a lot of "other". I will be a punk rocker in my heart for ever but as it exists today it reminds me of the deadheads in the '80s, one generation ....ing with the corpse of another generation's rebellion. If that is harsh I apologize but it is how I see it.
