Population Formula Help!!?!?!!?!?!?!

Can someone PWWWWWWWWWWWEASE just once and for all post the ACTUAL FACTUAL population formula on here? I keep hearing someone say it's x then someone else say it's y and I don't know whom to believe. Someone with the most educated of educated guesses please steer me towards a thread that discusses it? Or just post the whole thing.

This is like finding that certain part of the anatomy that everyone thinks they know and yet everyone has about 12,000,000 different answers.

formula for how much food it takes to grow your city pop by one point. I ant look at it because my PS3 is currently being used, but ill bet its a linear formula. Observe ow much you need from one to the next and record them all. Should be simple to extract the formula then.

Does anyone have it? I figure it's linear, I just want to know it. I have the great people formula, I want the population formula. It'll help us all if we can solve it.
