The demo ran fine on my system except for the mouse going off on one side due to having two monitors. So after seeing there was a patch coming to solve the so I bought my self the gaming and did not play till after the patch or rather I tried playing.
My first game started fine so I except for some weird graphics when talking to other leaders so I went into video options and maxed out anything. Restarted only to find I could not load game I just saved without a crash happening and same thing would happen when starting a new game.
The game simply crashes on my system when starting a new game something like 2/3 the way through the nation introduction and the same happens when loading a game. When crashed the sounds play on nicely but there is a Windows dialog saying the game exe-file has crashed and needs to close.
Anyway I did the whole update dance to no avail, but playing with the video options I have found a solution. If "Leader Scene Quality" is set to minimum then there are no crashes and I can play for hours.
It's in no way a perfect solution. The leaders are just a picture with the minimum setting, but it sure beats not being able to play. Also there are still a couple of minor issues which I shall post on separately (Taking a screenshot = crash, and on the right 1/5 of the screen only city icons and so are visible on the map)
Civ 5, version 1.0.0.62
