PowerBar doesn't work for me after the PTW 1.14f patch is installed. I get "Run Time Error 9 - Subscript Of Range." It works fine for Civ3 v-1.29f.

I have the same error. I'm running win 98se and am using PB 3.09 beta. It seems to occur after you reach your 44-45 city. I'm running the large map and it worked perfect until I tried to claim my 45th city. Now I can no longer load PB.

Other than that, great program. :)

Thanks Kurse - I have also run across this error, but I believe it's related to the 'intruder' check occurring before a unit refresh. I'll verify that and have a fix for the next version.

Hmmm...I tested PowerBar in a game with 24 Civs and I go all the way to 512 cities limit with no problem?

However, I do notice PowerBar take about a minute when updating roads. Updating rail is immediate though. I guess it must be how Civ3 update road to see how the tile is connected to the trade network and not a fault of PowerBar. :)

I don't know much about programming so I imagine you have a better idea than me but one thing I've noticed after playing several other games is that it tends to happen when I take a city from an opponent. The city count has been different in each of the four games I played but it always followed a load on a captured city. This could be a coincidence but just thought it might help you follow it up.

Thanks SpiderZord, it is great, but I think the old color was less obtrusive.

Someone else had complained... as of v2.1.0, PowerBar uses one of your Windows system colors:

CHANGE - PowerBar now uses the windows system color Inactive Window Border as it's background color.

I used that color because you can change it in your color scheme and probably not even notice it - AND it lets you set PowerBar's background color to whatever you want. ;)

(Actually, it's just a lazy programming - it required no code on my part  )

im using powerbar 3.09 and i get the "runtime error-9 subscript out of range"
ive started multiple games and it consistently happens about the time i get to my 30th city

just thought id say something

btw: powerbar is a great program :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

Thanks for the feedback everyone - as the holidays have neared, my time has gotten short on tracing the bugs... I'm also travelling with Mrs. SpiderZord to see her sister in Colorado. Bottom line - look for the next update in the new year!

Seasons Greetings & Happy holidays to all!

Great work! This is definitely an amazing tool.

The one problem I encountered is that I can't get the AUTO Complete function, both for production and food, to work.

I check the box, but next turn, the production (or food box) is not completed unless I click the C button every turn for every city.

Is there something I am not doing right?

The CP button on version 3.09 does work though.

I play civ3 v1.29 and tried PB 2.01, 2.10 and 3.09.

I have installed Civ3 PTW with the appropriate update 1.14 english language on a AMD 1600XP with 512MB DDR2700 and a Geforce 4 Ti 4200 128MB on a SCSI-U2W system and use the powerbar flawless!! no errors, nothing uncommon..just the way it should work. My software is Windows 2000 Build 2195 English language! the language is very important guys! if you have no english windows and get errors don't post, just install english language.I use both german(because of my job) and english versions of windows and the german version always make troubles..it's very normal...under the german version I know for 100% errors MAY occur, but they don't have to! sometimes you get a error and sometimes not :)
for other languages I don't know but I guess it CAN happen to anybody with no english installed.
I also tried out the Powerbar with Play the World Double Your Pleasure 1.04x .and no problems here either!
so if you guys have errors, I truly think it's not a failure of powerbar but of the software you use.

BUT, I'm not 100% sure about that! :)

I really love powerbar, you have done an excellent job dahling. I do have a question, I have not played Civ III since v1.16f. In that version of powerbar, you were able to change what other civs cities were building and see their shield use etc... I was wondering about that, I can't get powerbar to do that, am I doing something wrong? Also, when I check the box and hit shift to complete all cities production, it works on most cities, but not others? Just wondering if I was doing something wrong.

you know you been up for 20 hours you get tired and you save the game get some sleep.... but wouldnt it be nice to have a auto run feature where the computer plays you while your gone so when you come back you can see what happened...

maybe a feature to let so many turns slip by before control is returned to you

i seem to recall in civ 1 you could do that, maybe im jsut wacked

If you have gotten to the teleport screen, you have to set the destination for your unit(s) to go. In the place where you can choose a city (in the teleport window), you can set the city coordinates. Set a cities coordinates, (with the big arrow button) and press the arrows if you want to move the coodinates in that direction. Then just press teleport, go to the military advisor screen, press "view by unit", find you unit and activate him via right-click. If you want to teleport just a single unit, be sure to tick all three boxes on the top of the powerbar (unit screen). The boxes should be "unit", "tribe", and "type" (don't quote me on that). Click them all, and in the drop-down menu, choose the unit you wish to teleport. (but do that before you click teleport).

The powerbar ver 3.0.9 works great up to a point. After my worlds reach a certain point it won't load any more. I get a
Run Time error "9"

subscript out of range

Any help would truly be great.

I've been having the same problem. I messed around with older versions and found that 3.0.3 will load and work on a saved game that receives that error. It's not the best of fixes but if you want to continue the game, it'll work.

Sorry for the extended absence - this new year has started off like a roller coaster, and now includes a new job search for me. I'll still be making updates - I just don't know how frequently...
Hang tight - the subscript error is still my first priority and I will hopefully get some time shortly. :crazyeye:

Im getting an error...

Run-Time error 7, out of memory

anything I can do? And by the way, PowerBar works Fantastic! I cant wait for the next version! Thankx Spiderzord!:goodjob: :D
