Praise for Positive Days

After a month or so spent on "boiler" level, OT seems, in the past week, to have settled down to a very pleasant atmosphere, very easy to get along, interesting and fun (instead of interesting but frustrating) once again.

I just thought a positive comment here was deserved. Thanks to the mods and the community for restoring the positive vibrations.

hate to throw a wrench in your celebration Sultan, but its mostly because the majority of right wing posters just dont post here very much anymore. It didn't get more pleasent, it just got empty.

Well, I'm still arguing when I can, but if there are fewer flame wars, that's nice too. It did get more pleasant, I don't know about empty...

Maybe we should start to advocate the position of our political adversaries some more. Make ourselves attorney of the opposing side. If I'm left wing, then I will produce right wing arguments. If you're right wing, try to prove the left wing side.

Might add something to the discussion.
Oh, and irony is alwyas very welcome. (But this, for once, is none)

Immortal was right. Its not really that everyone left but that alot of us conservative posters (and I'm being lenient to name myself among them) aren't flaming as much. And neither are you liberals. We've all calmed down.

Plus it seems, at least to me, the world is doing the same...

There have always been more liberal posters, but the vocal conservatives took it on themselves to each do the work of three men (just like the real world media!). I guess the stalemate around the war argument has created this detente; that and the probable existence of a "right wing haven" mirror forum out there.

Still, both sides still here have calmed down. I'll take Stile or Onejayhawk's measured responses over uncivil raging any day. And without the ugliest trolling from one side, the other side doesn't autobombard back.

I am deffinately not right wing, nor a Republican.

But I am sick of childish and naive ramblings from supposed adults.

Decided not to waste my time anymore.
