Precision Air Strikes

Am I wrong, or should you be able to pick what you bomb when performing precision bombing strikes with a Stealth Bomber/Fighter? It just hits things at random.

I thought I read somewhere on this site that you're able to pick what you want to bomb. Maybe I misread.

Anyone know? What's the point of a precision strike if you don't get to decide what you want to destroy?

You don't get to pick... The only "precision" part is that it only hits improvements, not units... Not very precise...

I haven't hit a single thing using a precision strike. Grr.

The only thing it does, is prevent you from hitting civilian targets.

But really, I want to be able to pin-point an attack on a Factory. But instead I always hit Temples and Colloseums.

They are still very much "Dumb Blind Strikes."

That's what I thought. I seem to have better luck just doing a conventional bombing run to turn the city to rubble. Once in a while the precision strike will hit the target I want (barracks, harbor, etc.)

Maybe we'll see improved precision strikes in future expansions/versions.

When u do a precision strike or bombarding with artillaries and all does it matter where you keep the cross hair or the cursor in the tile, I mean like if i keep it at the corner of the tile or I keep it in the center will it have any difference in the damage done??

I LOVE precision bombing. Give me a carrier with 4 stealth bombers and I can destroy a far inland capitol city's economic and productive power in under 6 turns

Yes but imagine how much more effective your attacks would be if you could actually choose targets!

Another thing is if they are "precision" I would like to target the population or just units if I could, cruise missles are good for this but they are too expensive to build "in force" and as far a the population, you don't want an enemy city you capture to riot anyway. I like to knock a big city down to 6 or under.
