Preferred DLC Type - Expansion or Season Pass?

Expansions are great because they're a huge drop of content with many new civs and most importantly new gameplay mechanics adding more layers to the whole game.
Season passes are great because they give the playerbase nice constant content drops to look forward to (and perhaps speculate over)

In my opinion the new frontier pass and the leader pass were a great succes. I love having something to look forward to and keep the game fresh.

So yeah, 100% both

"Season passes" should never be in any game and should be protested against whenever they are.

Asking players to pay for content in advance without knowing if it's good or not is just a purely anti-consumer practice.

Expansions and DLC that you pay for *after it releases* only, thank you very much.

It's not like everyone went in totally blind. We knew we'd be getting civs, leaders, and optional game modes.
You are also able to buy the season passes after the full contents are released, or individually, so does it really matter?

The season pass model was fun as its own thing but I much prefer expansions. I don't want to feel the need to revisit the game every few months and play long games just to get a feel of one individual new mechanic. I find it far more satisfying and user friendly to get it all in a big package, where everything has been properly balanced to work together as a cohesive whole.

If they want to do a season pass for leaders and stuff, fine. But for game mechanics I really hope they keep the expansions.
