Is Civ7 Getting a Classic Expansion?

Yeah religion is tacked on nonsense. Rather than do it first, I do things I want then get around to it about 60% through the age. Doesn't matter if you're last to pick, you can always get the legacy points.
Yes,i just want to get through early so that the cities(hopefully) don´t yet have a religion. That way i will not have to spend two charges per city to convert(urban/rural).

He and Genghis are the only two classic leaders that I really NEED to see again

You asked for it!

For your final point about shyness, I think if we have the United States in, with its history of genocide and slavery, why not have USSR, Nazi Germany, Khmer Rouge, Leopold's Belgium, Islamic State? I know why they don't do it but it would be interesting
personally I am in favor of somewhat controversial modern era civs and leaders in the game. actually I think it’s embarrassing that they don’t even have Mao in 6 as a great general, when he’s one of the most crucial mil leaders & theorists of the 20th century

that said I draw a line at, say, Hitler and Islamic State. works for some games (mandatory in HOI4 for instance) but doesn’t belong in Civ in my book

The line is tough to draw

The Mongols murdered and raped uncounted amount of people.

So many (vast majority) civilizations have dirty laundry and most of it has been forgotten through the ages. And as always, the victors get to write the history books

the line is very easy to draw, if it happened more than 100 years ago people today care about it less. that is the line Firaxis has chosen to draw, and it's the real reason why there are very few truly 'modern' civs in the game

I think the determining factor is mostly money. A civ game without the US would not sell as much. It was even outrageous for many people that Britain was left out in the base game, many protested it and refused to pay extra for a civ that "should have been in the base game", given "its glorious history". Both British empire and America were genocidal states. But they are in, because gamer base for both is huge, Firaxis can grind money out of them.

Think you got your tense mixed up there, I think you meant "are".
Britain is still a genocidal state? I mean, it would be great if they would finally apologize for their past, but what are they currently committing in that regard?

They are complicit in current events, including several defence companies in direct cooperation with genocidal states. They operate in profiting off of death and regularly schedule spy aircraft to give/sell intel of civilian areas.

This is despite what they outwardly show. Like Americans but behind the scenes and not quite as bad.

You can read more but don't want to get off-track. It benefits them nothing except needless profit and you can't work in any defence company in this country without concurrently aiding genocide, you just can't. Source: I'm an Engineer.

Is Civ7 Getting a Classic Expansion? where is my Greek leader? where is Alexander dammit
:undecide:
.
This... is hopefully what the first major expansion will focus on rebalancing...
Give every major civ - included a Major civ the likes of Sumer or Babylon, which disappeared from the maps completely more than 2000 years CE.
A -Classical- path from Ancient to Modern Age that allows the player to stay with the original civ from start to finish, with extra civs switch unlockable && ...
A -Classical- Leader or "fixed" Leaders relationship to its civ -Classical exapnsion- option for all of the above...
with "randomness leaders" being the "normal" kind of play without the -Classical expansion-
