Actually, the phrease "Steam" simply probably means that you require Steam account to register, since Steam is the only way you can legally play the game, you can't play Civ 5 without Steam active/on etc.

I preordered my copy of Civ5 from Amazon and had no trouble getting Steam to recognize it, so I would expect you to have a similar experience with G&K.

They should get the Zulu with the game as a bonus. With Fall of the Samurai, there was an extra faction available with preorder. I know this is not CA, but it still would be nice. And if not Zulu's, perhaps some type of bonus would make preorder worthwhile.

The initial game did offer two free civs to be added later as part of one pre-order bonus. It's possible free DLC will be offered, just not from GetGames.

A. 22 is the Outside of US release date, so for the person who asked.

Pre-ordered it from Amazon (UK) for £12.99; £15 with release-day delivery. Sounded pretty good to me.
