FFS, again the Swedes are stealing all the credit. The AMOS mortar system is Finnish, Finnish!
Now after the necessary rant, some info about the thingy. It's a twin barreled 120mm mortar that is capable of firing up to 24 rounds per minute while normal rate of fire would be around 12 rounds per minute. The system can automatically direct the rounds to different flight trajectories so that up to 10 rounds will hit the target simultaneously. Finland has ordered 24 AMOS systems delivered on Patria AMV 8x8 chassis and Sweden is buying a slightly different version on the CV90 chassis. As the CV90 can carry heavier weight, the AMOS exported to Sweden has fully automated firing mechanism, allowing an even greater rate of fire. Thus the Swedish version can fire up to 14 rounds so that they'll hit the target at the same time. The United States are also considering about buying the system. The AMOS system is also planned to be installed on coastal patrol boats; there's a thread for that unit too here somewhere.
