Preview: The Centurion MK VIII Tank Project

This is how the Centurion looks in a 60 degree front view.
What is the angle to use from the sides?

If the image look funny its ´cause its not rendered yet.

That seems like it's too great of an angle. Shouldn't it bee the same angle as the side view? I'll have to compare this to the firaxis unit when I get home.

That one matches up to the Mod. Arm. perfectly. Definitely go with 45 degrees on the side views.

I'll let you know, later, if 45° or the 60° front view looks better. I'll take this comparison and put the Mod. Arm. un the middle so we can see which of the two match it's perspective. Right now, I'm betting on the 45° angle, although that goes against what Smoking Mirror suggested. He would know better than I would.

It's going to be... six or seven hours at least, I'm afraid.

Sweden would be... five hours ahead of central Canada?

You better hope I don't forget!

*Message to self: Don't forget!*

Try doing a SE or SW view, these usualy give you the best indication of the correct angle. It looks like 45 degrees may be the best for your program, but you won't be able to tell till you do the SE or SW view.

OmniMower,

If you can post what Smoking Mirror has suggested I'll shrink them up this evening and post a comparison with one of Firaxis's stock units.

Hi Smoking Mirror,
well Im lil confused here, I study Dark Sheer´s How to thing and he said that the angle for the views are at 30 degrees (SW SE so on) isometric, but since you get a good angle at 60....
Its darn funny how it can look different between platforms with the same angle.....

to remember, the camo pattern is assign to every surface on this 3D model, therefor the different apperance of the same camo.... we are working on that...:)

Nd we lost the side chevrons...they are back in place in notime!
