Problem in installing Civ 4

OK so yesterday I bought The complete Edition of Civ 4 and when i put the disk in i get the screen that has three options. Install, Readme, and exit. I read the readme and when I press install I get the error message: Windows cannot find 'G:\setup.exe'. I then tried to run setup.exe from the DVD-ROM but I get the same error message.

And I've also lost the receipt. goddammit!

Have you seen if the disk is faulty. I have also heard that some DVD-drives need a ROM update from the manufacturer.
