problem playing games

i have
ATI 9800 with 128 MB card
512 memory and 3.0 AMD 64 bit

i play the game fine for first 2 hrs, then in the late of game it started to get chobby till about 1960 all the movie take about 1 min to load including proposal to other country and wonder..till i have to restart the game, then it work fine for 5 mins and everything gone slow again. i tried art.pak thing but i dont have any fine name art0.pak all i have is asset0 1 2 and 3.pak...


what do i do?

This sounds like the memory problem- the game has a major memory issue - they will fix it - but meanwhile there is a very successfull User Patch that addresses this

You are fine in the early game and get the classic memory problem symptoms in the late game, so its likely this will help a lot, if not resolve most of those issues. No guarantees, but many late game problems have been resolved with this patch

At present he is working on version 2 of the patch, but has posted an Intermediate V2 for testing by kind folks. So you can either go for the version 1 patch shown on the opening page, or the version 2 on test at post #640. Its a benign patch, does not touch game code, and is easily installed / deinstalled. Scan read the last 2/3 pages of the thread and you will get the idea.

Obviously could be other things, and if it does not work for you come back here and we can try something else - but it sounds a classic for this fix
