Where do i find the file to edit that part?:sad:

Huh? It should be starting in 50000 BC. Are you by any chance using a scenario?

@ls612,
It's Not gonna be 50,000BC If you start a New Game in The Medieval Era. C'mon man. Did you actually Read the post? You seem to be doing this a lot lately. :( Are you distracted? :dunno:

@Leng,

The Mod Is Not designed or balanced for a Medieval Era Start. (It's on the list of to do's). This Mod is Designed for Prehistoric Era Start. If you don't start there your game dates Will be off. You can still play but don't get caught up in Dates matching Eras or Techs.

We have not done anything much in regards to starting in any period but the first. We have only just started work on Ancient starts in v27. It may just be a "turn to date" thing. However you will probably have many more problems because we haven't done the buildings that cities start with yet.

I was unaware that the start date changed depending on what era you started in. IN that case I would echo your sentiment, the later starts aren't balanced at the moment.

Yep you'll get a different start date for every Era.

If I knew where that was I'd change it to be reasonable. Also, I really need to start reading posts better. :rolleyes:

Yes , yes you do my fine young friend. ;)

Well that makes it doubly confusing. What version are you playing?
last version v27

@JosEPh_II you know which file i have to change or i must wait till the next update? :(
i already have a late game save where i started on the ancient era, its just i wanted to try another Civ on medieval(too lazy to start again on ancient :P)

If you ignore the date and play awhile it will "sort of" straighten itself out. But I wouldn't worry about the date at all with a Medieval Era start.

If it's a decent game just play and ignore dates. If not, start a new game in the Prehistoric Era as that is what this Mod is all about.

I'm not sure which file sets the Start date per Era.

i don't really even pay attention to the dates much. I usually just look at the turns to gauge where I am in the grand scheme of things. Even playing vanilla Civ IV, I the thought occured to me it was silly that the 4 turns it took to build a warrior equated to forty years or so...

Save your game, exit Civ and restart. Upon reloading the save, the date should be the proper one for your era. I encountered the same thing, and that technique has yet to fail for me.

You could also:

- go in the Worldbuilder
- save your game as a scenario
- go in the maps folder
- oben your scenario with texteditor
- one of the first rows should be "starting year"
- change this to year 500 or something
- save the file
- restart c2c
- "play costum mod"
- start your game as scenario

=> This way you should have the correct date.
if you don't want to see the map in the WB, ask someone else to save it as scenario.
