Problems installing/running FfH2

I hope this is the right forum for this question.

I have 2 new (well newer) computers and hoped to transfere my games to them. One is still using XP, the other vista.

I hoped to continue playing FfH2, but it is giving me huge issues as I try to run them on the new machines.

(on the XP; using BtS - German version, 3.17)
I tried to first install FfH 2 031 which is what I was using on the old computer (albeit with an earlier version of BtS I think 3.13), but this just crashes whenever I try to start a customized game.

So I tried the newer version of FfH2 040z or something and installed it together with the media pack. But when I try to start it I get the error message:

"GFC Error: failed to initialize the primary control theme"

How do I solve this error?

(on the vista)
OK I saw some of the other threads already, so I guess I settle for installing it on the laptop with the XP unless someone has some suggestions on how to convince the vista to run the game properly.

you only installed the z patch - not the actual mod - there are three downloads for ffh:
0.40
media pack
patch z

you need all three (actually you do not *need* the media pack - but it has some nice videos)

OK, now I feel stupid LOL. Thanks, I don't think I ever would have noticed that I'm missing one of the downloads. And thanks for moving it to the proper forum.

edit: ok I downloaded another file called Fall from Heaven 2 (396.125 KB) but it is of an unknown file type... what am I supposed to do with it? Or did I download the wrong thing once again?

It's a file naming error.....


Add .EXE to the end of the file name and it will become a clickable installer : )
