Greetings,

I can't launch the Large Solar System scenario. The game scenario fails while attempting to launch it. The file name is:

Large_Solar_System_v10_svn.CivBeyondSwordWBSave

The file was unzipped and placed in the C2C Private Maps

The following is an illustration of the steps taken to launch the scenario:

The scenario "FAILS TO READ WORLDBUIDER FILE". The game returns back to desktop after the last picture. The scenario does not launch.

Any help will be appreciate.

Respectfully,
SSBN

You used very old and outdated file instead of just launching one of scenarios

No. Unfortunately, none of the Earth-like maps are current Earth landmass. Only the indicated version has the Earth continental landmasses (e.g. North America, South America, Africa, Europe and so on...).

There's Pit's Earth map: https://forums.civfanatics.com/thre...-and-svn-update-compatible-by-pit2015.552901/
It has both a huuuge realistic Earth and a ton of Space (like, half of the map itself).
And 40 civs, lol - the max you can get now.
Unless you computer can't handle it, lol.
But if you just want to just TRY a Space map - there are a few "Space" scenarios that come with SVN (unless you aren't using that, which I guess is the case).
C2C has one important current feature - it gets outdated (to the point of utterly breaking saves and maps) pretty quick, if you don't use SVN.
They' re planning on releasing v.42 soon-ish, so you should wait for that one, if you don't want to use SVN.
But very certainly, DON'T use mod versions (or maps/scenarios) that are several VERSIONS old.
Not only will none of that work to begin with, but even if it did, you'd be missing a huge ton of IMPROVED gameplay (in many-many-many aspects).
So, again, either go for SVN - or wait for v.42 to be released soon-ish (which would result in similar game files anyways, lol).

He was talking about space maps, and he used wrong version of them instead of playing with ones included in mod.

Which is why I told him where to find an Earth map that is also a Space map, lol.
There are more included in the mod, but those are random maps, not actual Earth with Space maps (or I don't think I've seen any).

You are 100% CORRECT!!!

The link that you gave me leads to the file for the C2C UEM Ultimate Earth Map 100%. The file has 40 civilizations including USA. However, I'm not sure if the Space Environment is as complete as the Large_Solar_System_v10_svn file which includes Earth's current actual land masses (North America, South America, Europe, Africa, etc.) along with the Moon, Solar System Planets, Interstellar, Intergalactic and beyond space.

Can you verify if all the Space Environments are as complete in the C2C UEM Ultimate Earth Map 100% as they are in Large_Solar_System_v10_svn file? I'll appreciate the help.

Ugh, those ATTACHMENTS made my eyes hurt, lol.

Here are the MAPS you're asking about:

Pit's Earth with Space (map size = 232x200, Earth size = 232x116 or similar).
uem-preview-4-5-png.557905

Kation's Large Solar System (map size = 124x200, Earth size = 124x55).
sR4NjPA.png

So, I'm pretty sure you'd want a much bigger map, lol.
Unless you get memory problems, of course, then you'll have to suffice with a smaller map.
But Pit's Earth (the actual Earth) is about FOUR times bigger (while Space is comparable: 20k and 18k), ya know.
And Space is mostly "random" on both maps anyways, but has ALL types completely enough on both, or definitely looks that way.

So,...Somebody613,...

The Space Environment Levels:

1. Moon
2. Solar System
3. Interstellar Space
4. Intergalactic Space
5. Cluster Group Galaxies
6. Local Group Galaxies
7. Universal String Section to Total Universe (Background Universe)

I'm not sure if there are 7 Space levels in the totality of the Universe (excluding Earth).

But,....If there are 7 Space Environment Levels (excluding Earth)...

Question:
Am I correct in assuming that the Space Environment Levels (7 levels) in the Large_Solar_System_v10_svn file are the same level numbers (7 levels) as in the C2C UEM Ultimate Earth Map 100% with the exception in which their map SIZES are just a little bit bigger for the C2C UEM Ultimate Earth Map 100% file over the Large_Solar_System_v10_svn file (20k (C2C UEM Ultimate...) over 18K (Large_Solar_System....)) respectively?

Is this a correct assumption?

Appreciate the response Somebody613.

A much better answer would come from the authors of those maps, lol.
And I also kinda don't even understand what you ask here.
You can see the thumbnails as well as I can, and you can compare differently colored lumps of "space" to see whether there are the same "planets" on both maps.
To me, it looks pretty identical in covering that stuff, even if to different proportions and in different order.
Basically, you can experience exactly as much of SPACE on either map - and it won't be "realistic" ANYWAYS (no map has it realistically, lol, since it'd be too big to accommodate for that).
But terrain-wise, I see no significant difference.
Just play it on Ultrafast and as a solo civ (remove all other civs AND barbs) - and you can test it that way quickly enough.
