Problems with MSN Messenger?

FWIW I had some problems recently with it saying something like, "the MSN service is not available right now. Please try again later." Seems to have stopped now though.

Get a hotmail email adress.

Noncon, it means the server is down. Happens alot, you, and quite a few people can't log onto MSN. There should be some site that tells you when the server is down, but I can't find it.

You shouldn't need a hotmail account for it...

Just go to hotmail.com, download it, then it should take you through a wizard to put in your email etc.

I use a hotmail one for it, as I don't want my gmail account being spammed, but I know others using gmail, AOL, yahoo etc for it...

I can't sign in to msn messenger at the moment. Anyone know if it's down?

edit - nevermind it works now. It's like i'm being spyed on, as soon as I complain it works again!
