Hello,
I'm starting here in the Mac forum, but I don't know that this is necessarily a Mac issue. I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this:
The effects associated with unit animation progressively disappear over the course of a playing session. First, the wake from ships goes, then later the explosions from missiles, until finally almost none of the effectslaser blasts, green splatter from aliens, water splashesappear. It doesn't seem to affect anything else about the performance of the game. Units still move and battles are resolved as they should be, but eventually the animations are just two units falling over. This always resets after a restart, though it progresses faster later in a game, suggesting that my system is overburdened.
However, I've never seen this happen in Civ V on this same machine. That's why I'm curious if anyone else has had this happen to them.
My specs:
MacBook Air running 10.10.3, 1.4 Ghz Intel Core i5, 4 GB memory, Intel 5000 1,536 MB graphics
