The effects on gameplay of mobility promotion applied to all units made me thought if further narrowing availability of promotions to units would really help gameplay.
These are same examples which come out of my mind but i'm mostly interested to know if devs and people think that linking promotions to units type would help gameplay or just limit gameplay choices.
Mobility applied only to Cavalry Units
Woodsman promotions available only to recon, animal and beast units
Guerrilla promotions available only to Archers, Recon and beast Units
Combat IV and V not available to Recon and Archers
City Raider available only to Melee units
Medic applied only to Disciple units
Another problem is that FfH2 game mechanics clearly doesn't favour defensive units, so archery line is clearly underpowered.
What if Archers and other defensive units (Giant Tortoise) unlike other units which get more XP when attacking, get less XP when attacking and more XP defending?Or giving those units some sort of charismatic trait so they need less XP to get a promotion?
