I would like to suggest we use relaxed play deadlines during the holidays, say from Dec 23 thru 26, and Dec 30 thru Jan 2. Perhaps 48 or even 72 hours would be appropriate.
I'd say 72 hours is stretching it, but 48 seems fine.
I'd rather keep this informal and a courtesy than a 'rule'...if a team doesn't send it in 24 hours, and they are 1 minute over the limit and it's Christmas Day, don't get on their back right away. Just be patient...you guys know what to do.
I agree that we shouldn't need to go through the process of a full rule change for this. Just looking for a sense from all the teams that we're all agreeing to do the right thing.
Can't you simply assign turnplayers who are forbidden to go to family or anywhere else without internet access ??
The speed of play can be big, if the 4 turnplayers are at home...
Relaxing sounds okay with me. For the record I think TNT will be able to play within the normal 24 hours. If other teams need a little holiday break we won't mind.
I don't think there will be too many problems over the holidays as there is enough players in all the teams for turns to be played in a resonable amount of time, but if some turns take a bit longer to play then i think everyone will understand. 48 hours seem a fair enough time for me over the holiday period
As a member of the team with the least active players (single digit) it makes sense to relax the 24 hour rule over the holiday period ... reason also is one of consultation time required amongst other members prior to turn taking.
