With the Military Requesting Military Units. I wish to draw up my plans to bring the units to the military as efficantly as possible. My plan will utalize Micromanagement tecniques. First off, I would make sure to build barracks to high production cities producing units and granaries to the lower populated cities to bring them up to speed.
These cities will produce veteran units for use as the Military Department wishes.

unfortunately production is not good enough at this point in time. The Military is well-prepared as it seems the barbarians have gone elsewhere. That plan, and after seeing your queues is very counter-productive for this moment in time. I would rather see workers fixing the terrian and infastructure before I saw us waste effort building those structures that our low production cities cannot do quickly.

Look at the queues again, I just redid them today (Though without the turns to build since I am posting from one of the campus's computers), I have added workers to the queue so that they can mine the grasslands around them or to clear the jungles. I have made sure that they dont counter-product the game. When I get back home, Ill update and finalize the queue.

Since of the recent goof up. I wish to propose to change Huntington's and Santa Lucia's Build queues to Warrior, Galley (for Huntington), and then worker once its within reach of size 2.

Since we are about to contact the green and yellow civs to the west of us, I would like to emphasize the need for a harbor to trade luxuries.

IMHO it is very important to do this, because once a civ has traded its excess resources to another AI, they usually keep the trade. And we want to trade away our excess luxuries before Babylon tries to extort them. Plus more luxuries means more happiness for our growing cities without using the luxury slider.

I well understand the pressing need for units, but we also have to look beyond the immediate future.

I agree with that. CG, as much as we need units for defense and sentry duties, I think increasing our production and size with worersand settlers is more important at this phase of the game. Just do not neglect the army. Id say about 2/3rd to domestic, and 1/3rd of our efforts to military concerning what cities produce would be good for me.

With all due respect, may I suggest to review the build queues posted for the next turnchat?

IMHO we should have a vision for our cities. And my vision would be as follows:

Deux Rivieres has a great mixture of food and production. It is ideally suited to build settlers and workers, once it has a granary. It should not build regular troops.

Vo Mimbre has barracks plus enough shields to build units. Its production should not be reduced by building workers or settlers. (Balance the city at pop 6 with a mix of irrigated and mined plains. Once out of despotism, clear and irrigate the jungle for growth.)

Do we need a second galley in Huntington? Or would more horsemen be more to our needs?

PS: Please note: since we connect the iron in 1 turn, we cannot build any of the 10 shield warriors you queued in Deux Rivieres, Montpellier, and Santa Lucia.
