In the forests of North America the Canadians invade the Iroquois. The advance is rapid with some Iroquois tribes not resisting, and some actively joining the Canadian cause. Only in the capital do the Canadians meet their first real challenge. They are stopped at the gates and lay siege to their capital.
Geystral refuses to leave the historical Sumatran homelands which causes the Sumatrans to declare war on Geystral. The Sumatrans launch an immediate attack upon the Geystral colony that was so hated by the Sumatrans. Wave after wave of Sumatran soldiers attack the tiny garrison of Gitulen and Jurizen, driving them back almost to the sea. In the end the colony stood but only with 43 Gitulen left alive to claim victory. On the western coast a Geystral naval force lands 300 Gitulen on the coast with the intention of advancing north to the Sumatran capital. They are forced to land further south than originally planned due to Sumatran naval patrols. In fact, 2 days prior to the landing a lone Sumatran trireme spots the 15 Don of the Geystral force and alerts the Sumatran Army of the invasion. That allows the Sumatrans a short time to mount a defense and keep the Geystral Army from destroying the Sumatran capital. It also causes the Sumatran Fleet to gather to attack the Geystral Navy on its return from the landing. They meet off of the coast of Singapore island and a furious naval battle ensues, from which Geystras suffers many loses but is victorious in vanquishing the Sumatran navy. From the north merchants have come from a land called Dvaravati.
On the Iberian Peninsula Espanola joins with Portugal, greatly increasing the power of Spain. To the north of Spain the Gauls have declared war on the Catalans along with the Basques. It seems like the Catalans days are numbered as the two superior nations proceed to crush the weaker catalans.
Further east in the Mediterranean sea Sicilys gifts of fruits to the Carthaginians on Sardinia causes them to revolt and join the Sicilian eastern half, making the whole island Sicilian. In Greece the Italics make little headway mostly due to a Roman invasion of the Italic homeland. On their way across the Mediterranean the Sicilians come into contact with the Egyptians, a highly advanced society at the mouth of the Nile river. Further, upon landing in the Middle East they meet the Israelites to their south (blue) and the Kingdoms of Babylon (red), Assyria (green-gray), and the Hittites (gray) to the east and north.
In Arabia the war continues against Saba. The Saba counterattack is pushed back relentlessly and Arabian forces advance to the gates of their capital. With the lose of so many troops on the northern front, the southern advance by the Saba has totally stopped.
In the forests of Russia there has been hurried expansion by the Russians. Not only do they found the city of Novograd and start a trade center there but their explorers come into contact with the Balts to the west (orange), the Slavs to the south-west (tan), and the Scythians to the south (green).
In Central America the Great Knowledge Nation advances slowly though the jungles of the area only to come into contact with the violent Olmec cultures to the west. On the island of Cuba exploration continues slowly however there still isnt any resistance from the native tribes. Most seem to take the oncoming troops as something that doesnt affect them at all. Also the party that was sent to Cuba has made contact with a people known as the Seminoles from the north.
