Hi guys, in my current game I got beaten to the pyramids by my neighbour Egypt. If I capture and puppet his capital, which contains the wonder, does my whole empire get the pyramid's benefit?

I'm not entirely sure. Probably.

I captured London in my last game, which had the Colossus and something else. It was a good city, so I annexed it when I was in a golden age.

Yes. Puppeting has no impact on building or wonder effects.
[Though some buildings, like buildings that provide unit production boosts, are useless in a puppet.]

How does one detect that a city has a wonder before (or for that matter, after) capturing it? Do you do it by spotting the graphical image on the map?

AFAIK, yes, that's the only way, or remembering who built them (if you had discovered the city when it was built). A bit lame.

Yes, a pulldown list of wonders would be nice, even if it was restricted to cities you had already discovered.
