This is a simple question.

Are certain game speads balanced enough to play on smaller map types?

For example is epic or marathon balanced enough to function well at standard map size?

I lovev playing marathon but I only play it on larger map types and wanted to play it on a standard size b ut I was doubting if it will be unballanced

It olso seams the AI can't handle marathon how do I make sure the AI plays at a respective LV at marathon I usally have trouble at king difficulty but at marathon its just easy how to improve this ?

epic and marathon should be significantly easier for the player. the main thing that isn't scaled is unit movement and combat, so a player can exploit the AI's inability to handle combat a lot more effectively when you have relatively more time to conduct war.

vs standard speed you should be able to pump the difficulty up at least +1 on marathon.

I was actually talking if it smart to play marathon on a standard map or does it become really unbalanced?

you should play whatever you want. playing marathon regardless of map size and difficulty could be called "unbalanced," that doesn't mean those games can't be fun.
