question about civ II ToT - no CD

i Want to run test of time without the cd. can i either
a) install it and somehow use a no-cd patch to get over the problem

or b) copy all game files to hard drive, and multimedia files to, so a mirror exists on the hard drive - then how do i bypass startup screen asking for the CD

To eliminate the CD requirement, find your exact version and apply the patch from:
http://www.gamecopyworld.com/

Be sure to back up your .exe first, however, or you will have to re-install to revert back to the original .exe.
