Question About Healing Units

OK, I've just landed 8 samurai on the coast of the evil Americans. I've just been attacked by regular HP knights, and 2 of my samurai are down to 1 HP. I have a Caravel off the coast, and I was wondering: can units heal on a ship? Like if I put a unit on a ship and then skip a few turns, will it heal to full strength? Thanks in advance.

I think so, but not if you're in enemy territory.

Your units will definately heal if you place them onboard a ship. Just make sure you are in neutral territory. I've done this plenty of times. Once I rescued a cavalry unit that was on an enemy island with 1 hitpoint left. He boarded a galleon and I figured I'll bring him home to one of my cities that had a barracks in it. By the time the galleon made it back to my shore and I unloaded the cavalry he had 2 hitpoints restored!

Watch out that noone attacks your boat though else you will lose everthing.
