Question about patches

Hello,

Currently I am having Civilization 4, Warlords and Beyond the Sword expansions.

Could someone tell me should I apply latest patches for all three games or I should apply just latest patch for latest expansion (Beyond the Sword) to be fully up to date?

In other words, does latest patch for Beyond the Sword covers all previous patches (their fixes) that went out for Civilization 4 Vanilla and Warlords expansion?

Assuming that you have bought all 3 games separately and have CD/DVD versions and not downloaded, this is the sequence recommended in Lemon's Civ/Vista Guide:

1. Install Vanilla and patch to 1.61
2. Install Warlords and patch it to 2.08.
3. Install BTS, which will automatically patch Vanilla to 1.74, and Warlords to 2.13.
4. Patch BTS to 3.17. Don't do the update by using the game's update feature. Download the patch directly from CFC, unzip it, and run the executable as Administrator (right click - run as administrator).
5 Patch BTS 3.19 in the same manner as 3.17.

Applying the earlier patches, although not in theory essential, can reduce the problems with later patches. For more details have a look at Lemon's Civ/Vista Guide
