I've got BUG/BULL installed into my custom assets folder (though the BULL DLL is in my main game folders. original one backed up).

seeing as it's not being started as a mod and that there are no changes to core gameplay... can someone using plain old BTS load my save files?

i ask because i ran into a problem during my first 3.19 game with regards to great artists, and was wondering if posting a save file would be futile.

my post is here:

I do also have Blue Marble & King Kong's flag mod installed into the custom assests folder as well.

apparently not.

just moved my custom assets folder to the desktop to hide it from the game.. and swapped out the DLL's.

game crashed while loading my save file.

Both BUG and BULL should be saved game compatible. BlueMarble as well, and that other one sounds like a graphics mod so it should be too. How exactly did it crash? Can you post a save here and we can try it?

my visual studio debugger kicked in while loading the file.

i'll post a save later today.

on a side note, where can i put the BULL .dll without having to rename the 3.19 one? right now i've got it in my main BTS assets folder where the normal DLL file is located. i renamed the stock one to cvGameCore.dll.319 so i can restore it if need be.

when i first started using BULL, i tried to put it into my custom assets folder and the game loads the stock one instead.

BTS only looks in the Assets folder for a DLL--any in CustomAssets are ignored. The other option is to install BUG as a mod (multiplayer install method) and put BULL into BUG's Assets folder.
