Question about speed

Hi there,

I was wondering if there was a way to make years go by 1 year per turn. Normally, its 5 years per turn. Thanks!

1 year per turn would result in about 6000 turns. Which is, give or take, what the longest gamespeed out of the 4 is equivilent to. It won't be done at a year a turn, but it will be about that long.

What gamespeed is that and how can I select it?

When you start a singleplayer game there are several options including "Play now" and "Set up game".

Hit set up game, and when you choose your leader/map type, there should be one for speed. I'm afraid I can't remember the name as I get "Epic" and "Marathon" mixed up, but there are 4 speeds, go for the bottom/longest one.

Marathon's longer, though Epic sure sounds longer.

The years go by slower as you reach 2050 (for example, even on standard, each turn is something like 40-60 years to start and a mere 6 months as you get near the end).
