Question: How come i can open some xml files in civ4 but not others?

When i click on certain xml files in this mod folder sometimes it opens up and i can configure the stuff but other times it opens in internet explorer and says this.

The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.

Error opening input file: 'CIV4TechnologiesSchema.xml'. The system cannot locate the resource specified. Error processing ...

Why is this? I know this isnt the right xml its just an example but i want to edit the amount of hammers i get from chopping and i get this same error when opening certain other xml files.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can't use internet expolorer to actually edit .xml files. If you instead open them in notepad (or any other text editor) you should be able to edit them just fine.

Thanks that helps alot. Now i just wonder why it defaults to open in internet explorer instead of notepad?
