Hello CivFanatics-

I have come with some questions about the new religion feature in G&K.

1. Can AI religions be renamed? If so, how?

2. Can religious symbols be changed? If so, how?

I only ask these questions in order to make my game more historically accurate.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what you're asking? Do you mean on the fly, change the name and symbol after a civ adopts it (and/or editing an existing save)? Or, do you mean in general, adding additional religions/names/symbols? For the later, check out Tomatekh's historical religions mod.

This is something I am looking for! However, after England adopts, say Christianity, would I be able to rename Anglicanism to be more historically accurate?

With the current Lua API, you can only change the name of a religion when it is founded, and the icon is always taken from the definition of the religion in the database.

However, it wouldn't be that hard to mod the DLL code to add Game.SetReligionName(eReligion, sName) and (with a little more effort) Game.SetReligionIcon(eReligion, sAtlas, iIndex)
