Must make for an interesting typing session. ;)

@Mocha - You've been looking for this answer for over a year? It was actually answered in the thread you made from last year.....

Incidently, if you click on the Civ3 icons in my sig, it will bring up a .pdf with a lot of relevant data on the game. Keyboard shortcuts, unit statistics, that kind of stuff. ;)

as an adjunct to the "J" question... does this work for active units in a city?

It does not seemed to have worked but I was only using j

Yeah, it only works for active units. If they're fortified, they'll stay there.

hmmm...i know ctrl-j works because i done it before, a long tome ago...., but my units just stay there. Maybe im doing something wrong. You press the unit, then move while pressing ctrl-j?

going back to moving the units in a stack, I just click the button over in the bottom right hand part of my screen that is just above the picture of the unit that my icon is currently on. There you have a few choices, 2 of them are "Movie Units in stack" and "Move units of same type in stack".

I rarely mess with keyboard keys since I have to use my mouse to point to where they are going anyway.

Will this cause a negative hit on my diplomacy reputation?

I have 8 turns left on Right of Passage agreement with Russia. I may want to attack Russia sooner than 8 turns, but I want Russia to declare war on me. First I'm going to demand Russia give me all their cities to make them furious with me.

My question is, if I use espionage to try and steal a Russian technology (and purposely pick the lowest-price/least-chance-of-success option that will make it most likely my spy will get caught), and my spy gets caught, and Russia declares war on me -- in this case, would the game say I caused the war and broke the Right of Passage treaty with Russia, and with that would I take a negative hit on my diplomacy reputation -- that would make other nations refuse to sign treaties with me? Or since Russia declared war on me, would they take the blame, and I would not take a reputation hit?

Also, if my spy is caught by Russia, and Russia declares war on me for that specific reason, and I have military units in Russian territory (because I have a Right of Passage with Russia), would that cause a negative hit on my diplomacy reputation?

Thanks!

Getting the other civ furious with you and getting them to declare war is a good way out of treaties. They take the blame for starting the war.

Having a spy caught may affect attitude with other civs but not treaty reputation.

I assume this was a question, or maybe not? Anyways, the answer is Yes, you left-click on one of the buttons and then left-click on the tile you want the units to go to. Remember, if you click on a tile that is invalid, nothing will happen. For example, if you click on land units and try to move them to another continent, it will not work. (In the "Civ World", North & South America are considered one continent.......Unless the Panama Canal is entirely made up of coastal squares!)
