CivAssistII, link in my sig, allows you to virtually change governments and tell you what your unit support, corruption, etc. will be for any given government.

I was just wondering if it's possible to rebase Cruise Missiles on to a ship so I can take carry them to the far continent and begin bombing the crap out of something? It doesn't work with transports. I is confused. :crazyeye:

Much thanks and respect. :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

I can't remember every doing it, but a quick lok at the editor shows it is flagged with the load option.

Oops! What I meant by 'It doesn't work with Transports' is that you can load CMs on to a Transport, but you can't launch them from a Transport. How do I launch CMs from a Transport? Or do they need to be on a Carrier or something else?

Sorry for the confusion.

I got a weird situation in my game, offshore platform(240 shields by civipedia) takes almost half the turns to build as stock exchanges(200 shields by civipedia)

In this save look at oxford & reading at the bottom of my continent. 4 turns to produce offshore platform, 7 turns to produce stock exchanges. I don't get it, am I missing something?

Oh ok thanks, I was thinking either I was crazy or the game was buggy.

You'd think though that the civipedia would adjust the listed shield cost to account for civ traits. (like if your sea faring it would tell you its 120 shields because your sea faring or just 120 shields)

Oh well..

Quick question:

If I have a veteran horseman and I upgrade it to a knight, does it retain veteran status, or return to regular?

If I have spices in two places and trade one of them to another civ and then lose one of the two (through a city flip for example) do I end up breaking a deal or losing the use of that lux myself?

Is there a way to play civilization III tutorial?

This game is very hard to learn at first, and i need a tutorial to get a better understanding of the game. I go to preferences and check "tutorial mode" but when i leave it nevers stays checked for some reason?

Thanks for any help.

Losing a resource that is also being traded away results in your losing access to it before it will break the deal.

There is a tutorial in the manual for vanilla civ3. Not sure about PTW or C3C. I think they assume you already know how to play. The tutorial mode in the preferences just gives you irritating popups. Read the war academy articles here at civfanatics for lots of advice.

Cruise missles cannot be fired from ships and can only be loaded onto transports.

Ah! Now I understand. Thanks for clearing that up for me. :D

Hey folks, a friend of mine had a problem, and I dont know the answer, He has eliminated the english almost, but there is still ONE city and it is placed on a island with the size of only the city, how can he burn the city down? maybe usefull to know: he already has nukes and plays on chieftain

1. Attack the 1-tile island-city with Marines, OR
2. If it's not the AI's capital city, beat up the AI pretty good until he "gives" you the city in return for a Peace Treaty.

2 things off-the-top-of-my-head. ;)
